Panama Geddy and his dog Starr

Joseph Campbell said, "We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us." These words have been a guide and inspiration to me, all my life. People are restless. They want to experience life firsthand.

I have done this, and have founded Geddy's Yacht Charters Panama to inspire others to a world of adventure. Starr and I can help widen the borders of the imagination. Walk with us into the world of creative alternatives firsthand: by sea, by land, and up tropical rivers. I am the traveler who shows the way.

As you may have suspected, my education has spanned the country, from Bar Harbor, Maine and Connecticut on to Michigan and the golden shores of California. In later years I attended school in Southeast Asia and 1967, 1968 in Vietnam, have traveled to over 80 countries, world-wide. This includes some 400 different islands, including Kauai, Bainbridge Island (WA), St. Maarten and Mt. Desert - all of which I have had homes on. I have also lived in Thailand, Colombia, Colorado, California, Washington State and Cuba. I am presently living on my yacht Opportunity, near Portobello, Panama.

I created, built, and ran the world famous Geddy's Pub in Bar Harbor, then moved on in the late 1980s to Pacific Rim development activities, including commercial and residential real estate. I also founded Artisans International, with offices in Thailand, Kauai, Hawaii and Seattle, Washington.

I am, at present, building a hotel, Internet cafe, gallery, and marina in Panama, to be called Geddy's Del Mar. I also run Geddy's Sail Panama, a charter organization devoted to adventure, discovery and the support and aid of indigenous peoples of the area.

My best friend is my dog Starr who I met on the docks in Cuba and has been with me ever since. Where she goes, I go. It's just that simple.
